Went for sprinters too. Lucky for me some of them made it, and my secret weapon Romain Hardy finally doing something.
HARDY
ROJAS
VALVERDE
BONIFAZIO

FROOME
MEERSMAN
BATTAGLIN
SBARAGLI
Hopefully the next 2 stages end in a reduced sprint.
I transfered in four sprinters today, for a total of six on the team. None of the four I brought on scored today. Next 2 stages could be tricky...
Would of been better off not making any transfers. Scored more with my Purist team. C'est la vie! Have to hope there are a few sprinters involved in the next two.
I've used thirteen Andy.
As you said Tony, breakaways seem to be the name of the game since Sky changed tactics from last year. The leaders jersey is something of a 'hot potato'. Wouldn't be suprised if there were as many as ten or eleven winners from the breaks.
There is that few sprint stages(I'm hoping mine can also be involved in stage 6, and 7) that the teams with decent sprinters have to try to catch any breaks. Hence all in, then replace all nine riders for stages 8 - 11.
I've gone Drucker, Meersman, Nielson, Rojas and Schwarzmann plus 4 of the GC crowd. I'm down 9 transfers so far.
You are braver than I, Aragonite.
First off, stage 4 scores assume Atapuma won stage, not Calmejane. Needs correction.
If this trend of the red jersey team riding defensively (which also happened in the TdF) continues in the Vuelta, we shall all be reduced to having Froome, Valverde/Quintana and Chaves in the team, and trying to guess who will be in the breakaway, which means low scores everyday. (so my purist team full of climbers is down the drain).
So today I've gone, (probably foolishly), full bore on sprinters. Bonifacio, Arndt, Meersman, Sbaragli, Cort Nielsen, Schwarzmann. I'll worry about transfers later.
I've gone all in today, eight sprinters, plus Gilbert.
