Right everything is on my spreadsheet and ready to go. Should be a good race, and a good battle with 13 teams this time
In my opinion all WT races should be in daves game. I quite like Paris-Nice but I do like the Volta as its a good climbing race. Gave me a good feeling as to how tough its going to be to pick the correct star riders in the grand tours
Im sure we can do one for TDS.
at least there are a couple of decent DS's to choose (Machado, Slagter, Szymd, Gavazzi, Kiserlovski etc) thus not all the really good guys are star guys
Race gets underway in 1 hour, so if anyone else still wants to join or make any final tweeks to there team they can
Good for those who have delaplace as he is in the break and scored a few points
Edet was also in the break but hasn't scored any points by being so yet (just the 3rd cat climb left)
perfect, taaramae in the start list but replaced with a form of glandular fever!!!
Tom Dumoulin seems to be out too.
Cant see Dumolin on the results im afraid
Full results here:
http://www.cyclingnews.com/races/volta-a-catalunya-2012/stage-1/results
Also as far as i know there is no young rider comp
Points will be up as soon as i can do them
Dumolin 16
Well seems Delaplace was the man to have!
Also I bet you wish you hadnt changed your team Carl Simpson and taken Edet out!
Now for the scores
TERatcliffe26 - 10
Nickobec - 12
Stevespro79 - 0
Lucas - 17
Wig_Billy - 12
Drheaton - 10
JAndrewHill - 6
Mikeh789 - 0
Carl simpson - 0
Arsene - 69
The Terrible Tourists - 16
Cgipryan - 4
Montana Carrot - 71
Livestrongnick - 0
Congratulations Montana Carrot on todays stage, picking Delaplace and Karpets picked you up 2 points on the Cat 1 climb. Also nice work from Arsene for picking Delaplace. Still a long way to go but it could be a crucial pick.
Also a quick mention for Drheaton for picking the last man home Julien Sanchez
Wow I got some points with my last transfer . . . but not many. Go Galdos
Yee-haw. That was lucky. Woke up just in time to catch the end as it is not on TV in America.
Now here's hoping the men from Montana come through tomorrow.
Go Van Garderen and Leipheimer
Typical
Hurray!
Loving google translate, apparently
"Damiano Cunego in front, next to Daniel Martin down the Alt Angels (1 st cat). Behind the driver is very broken and lying."
and
"Valverde up at 1:20 behind the Upper Ganga"
Ah brilliant, first i lose Taarmae then Valverde loses over 2 mins!!!!

Two in a row for Albasini!! Wow
4 in the top ten. Could be a good day for me.
Only 10th Kiserlovski and 18th Danielson today.
Has anyone seen Delaplace?
delaplace came in the valverde group
I was expecting this - I expect 8 in the top 10 tomorrow. . . . lol
Ah ok. He should be a better climber actually. If you look at his body measures: 1.81m - 65kg. Thats perfect for the mountains. Probably he still has to develop his strengths since hes very young. Huge talent tho.
Hope you can classify the units we use in Germany(m,kg)... ;).
Right i haven't done the points yet as i cant seem to find the overall sprint and mountain classifications
So in the morning i will do the points without those if i still cant find them
