Jens Voigt.
In the pro peleton, my favourite has got to be Jens Voigt. I get he impression he was born to cause other cyclists to look on despondantly as he gets another case of "OK legs, lets do this" pain dishing attitude.
Outside of the peleton, Danny Macaskill- how the hell does he do what he does?
Jens Voight
Bradley Wiggins
Got to be Cancellera - yum!
Contador
Iron man Sean Kelly

I'm a fan of Cav for pure speed and class but also Voeckler
Pantani
Jan - for getting on her bike for my sake
Cav
Voeckler, for his efforts in clinging on to yellow in last year's TdF.
Steve Peat, the mountain biker was an animal
Chris Hoy - determined, dedicated, yet makes it look effortless.
Tom Simpson
despite the fact that he also commentates on football Ned Boulting. A MAMIL who is proud of his Lycra collection, that takes more courage than asking LA why he is paranoid about USADA.
Nick Hussey of course....

Gino Bartali.
Can't be anyone other than Merckx: went for the win in every race, right through out the season.
Bernard Hinault, still aggressive today !
Tommy Godwin.
The all-time endurance world record holder. 75,065 miles in one year, and 100,000 in 500 days, thats 200 miles every day for 500 days. All this on a 30lb clunker with a hub gear in 1939, after which he got off his bike and went to war. They bred people tough in those days. If he was Italian he would be a household name.
Mayjor Taylor!
Fumiyuki Beppu
Eddie Merckx of course
Graeme Obree
Among the pros, too many to choose just one - so I'm going to go for my best buddy Rich, even if he did talk me into a whole world of pain in Flanders!
Stephen Roche
Robert Millar
Steven Roche, for that moment in the mist, and Phil Liggits commentary
cavendish=so good when he popos up at the death to beat them all
