Heart of the Wolds Cycle Sportive
The Heart of the Wolds Cycle Sportive takes place in the unrivalled scenery of the Yorkshire Wolds. Starting off from the historic market town of Driffield, all the routes take in the undulating countryside, so graphically depicted in David Hockney's paintings but which are largely unknown outside the area. Both the countryside and its history will be brought to life for you as part of this Sportive which will see three rides for cyclists of all abilities. Our shortest route (The Lantoft Loop - 37km / 23 miles) will be ideal for those trying their first sportive or new to cycling, while our 100km Classic (64 miles) will test cyclists with some stiff climbs and technical descents in the highest Wolds. Our longest 134km Challenge (86 miles) route is for cyclists who want to challenge themselves to their physical limits, with over 1200 metres of climbing and at least five hours of cycling.
