Catered: Yes, Fully catered (all meals will be provided for you). Catering will be provided by Jelli catering staff at every opportunity, due to the make-up of this trip restaurants will also provide some of the catering along the route.
Level of Jelli Support: Full Jelli support i.e. the support car will be on-hand for the entire trip with spares and nutritional support as well as having riders on the road with you to guide you along the route.
Accommodation: Various accommodation locations will be used along the route of this trip as well as Jelli’s own favorite Gite Belle Vie in the Campan valley in the Pyrenees. All accommodation will be provided based on 2 people sharing a room. If single occupancy is required it can be done so at an additional cost.

Itinerary and Route Details
Day 1, Saturday 15th August 2015
Jelli crew to meet guests at Biarittz Airport 9:10 CET
Transfer to Hendaye (or near by hotel) on the Atlantic coast of the Pyrenees our start location for the Raid Pyrenees.
Lunch on the coast
Get ourselves organised for the ride across the mountains that awaits us, this includes things such as:

Sort day bags that will go into the car
Group Briefing
Relax either side of our evening meal before having a good sleep to prepare to embark on the raid.
Day 2, Sunday 16th August 2015
Start and finish location: Hendaye – Oloron Sainte Marie
Distance: 150km
Altitude gained: 2200m
Cols to be conquered: Col De St Ignace (169m), Col De Pinodieta (176m), Col D’ Osquich (500m)
Wake up and grab a hearty breakfast before making final departure preparations
After dipping our tyres and toes in the Atlantic we hit the road at 9:00am, riding along the Atlantic coast before we turn inland and towards the mountains.
We have 3 minor Cols today the most significant of which is the Col D’ Osquich at 500m.
We will have lunch on the road, consisting of either a packed lunch or a restaurant lunch stop.
We aim to finish today’s riding by 16:00 giving plenty of time to enjoy a well-earned rest before the evening meal.
Jelli Raid Pyrenees Day1
Day 3, Monday 17th August 2015
Start and finish location: Oloron Sainte Marie – Campan
Distance: 150km
Altitude gained: 3500m
Cols to be conquered: Col D’Aubisque (1709m), Col du Soulor (1464m), Col du Tourmalet (2115m)
Today is our biggest day of climbing; we have 3500m to climb before the day is out. It’s time to conquer some of the most feared Cols in cycling; offering you some stunning scenic views in reward for your efforts.
We depart around 8:30 am.
Today’s ride gives you a while to warm up as we steadily gain altitude before coming to the bottom of the Col D’Aubisque at about 35km in.
After Summiting the Aubisque we traverse along the awesome stretch of road that links the Col D’Aubisque with the Col du Soulor.
After an enjoyable lunch stop we take on the Col du Tourmalet before we shoot down to our overnight stop at Gite Belle Vie in the Campan Valley.
We aim to finish today’s route late afternoon, after which we will be treated to a delicious meal by our caterers.
Day 4, Tuesday 18th August 2015
Start and finish location: Campan – Massat
Distance: 167km
Altitude gained: 3100m
Cols to be conquered: Col d’Aspin (1489m), Col de Peyresourde (1569m), Col Des Ares (797m), Col De Buret (602m), Col de Portet D’Aspet (1069m)
Today’s route tackles the Cols that lie at the heart of the Pyrenees. Although it is a smaller day with regards to the number of meters climbed, it’s not to be underestimated.
At the top of Peyresourde we will stop to grab some fantastic crepes at a local, favourite Café before enjoying a fantastic decent down into the valley below.
Col Des Ares, Col De Buret & Col de Portet D’Aspet await our arrival after which we will enjoy a reasonably flat final 70km as we ride towards the town of Massat.
Today will involve a ride time of roughly 7hrs which is similar to the previous days. We aim to finish late afternoon.
Day 5, Wednesday 19th August 2015
Start and finish location: Massat – Prades
Distance: 160km
Altitude gained: 3400m
Cols to be conquered: Col de Port (1249m), Col du Pailheres (2001m), Col des Moulis (1099m), Col du Garavel (1262m), Col du Jau (1506m).
A challenging but very rewarding day lies ahead of us. We have a similar amount of climbing to do today as we did on our 2nd day of riding.
Start time 9:00am.
Today is made up of either climbing or descending – there is very little of the flat stuff (not that the previous days were flat by any means). We start our day straight onto the accent of the Col de Port and after descending down the other side we join a road that offers the flattest riding on offer today.
We then tackle to Col Du Pailheres which represents the split between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. From here on you may want to think of it as downhill as you won’t be up this high again, although there are still a few Cols to go.
After cracking the summit of the Col du Jau we descend straight down into our overnight stop in the town of Prades.
Day 6, Thursday 20th August 2015
Start and finish location: Prades – Cerbere
Distance: 100km
Altitude gained: 600m
Cols to be conquered: None, although a little undulating along the coast
You know that you have done it! You wake up and you can feel the Mediterranean is close.
We enjoy a nice morning ride down to the coast before making it into the village of Cerbere to enjoy lunch by the sea and maybe a quick swim!
Day 7, Friday 21st August
Today’s itinerary can be decided on during the trip! Our only constraint on this day is making sure that we get back to Toulouse for flight home. We can embark on some of the fantastic, local sightseeing or a morning by the beach.
We aim to start the day with a hearty breakfast before embarking on whatever the day’s adventures may be.
