The Gatwick Airport Starriders 100
Star Riders 100 is a 100 mile night-time endurance cycle through the streets of London, Kent and Surrey.
Cyclists will start out at in Holborn, London at midnight before tackling a challenging non-competitive ride through the Kent and Surrey countryside, before returning at sunrise to finish near The Francis Crick Institute. Each rider upon finishing the event will enjoy a celebratory champagne breakfast. As dawn breaks, this will give each rider a chance to reflect upon what they have achieved, whilst being able to admire the sunrise over London.
We are looking for competent cyclists who are inspired to take on a new challenge to help us Beat Cancer Sooner. Each rider will be encouraged to raise a minimum of £500 for Cancer Research UK. To help you reach your fundraising target, you will receive an inspiring and informative fundraising pack on registration, and a final instructions pack prior to the event.
The event is not timed, but a personal feat of endurance! All participants must be confident road cyclists, capable of completing the challenging 100 mile route at night within 10 hours. All money raised will go towards building The Francis Crick Institute, is a visionary collaboration between six of the world's leading medical research organisations including Cancer Research UK.
