The Physical Event
If you would like to join us in Durham and in person, then sign up for the physical event. You can sign up for the physical event as an individual or as a team (including corporate teams). You can also choose to ride the whole route, or to form a relay team. For the physical event, we ask that each participant pledges to raise a minimum of £500.
Registration Fee: We are offering a special early bird fee of £50 to all participants who sign up before the end of Jan 2021 (from 1 Feb onwards, the standard fee of £65 will apply). Your registration fee includes:
Event merchandise: a cycling jersey and a finisher’s medal.
During the ride: four well-stocked feed stops along the route (approx. every 20 miles), full mechanical support, a broom wagon and well-equipped support team.

The Virtual Event
If you can’t join us in person, or would simply prefer to join virtually, then sign up for the virtual event. Registration is FREE, but we do ask that you undertake some fundraising. We would suggest setting a target of £500, as it always pays to aim high, but please feel free to set your own target.
How will the Virtual Event Work?
By signing up to the virtual event, you are pledging to cycle 100 miles (the equivalent of the Earth Wind & Tyre 2021 route) during the month of June 2021. With the virtual event, you have the flexibility to choose where and how to carry out your challenge.
* Where: at home or outside, the choice is yours! This challenge could be completed at home on a static bike or get route planning and create your own 100-mile route in your local area.
* When: please complete your challenge during the month of June 2021, and if you can, we would love to have as many of our virtual participants as possible doing their challenge on the day of our physical event (Sat 5 June).
* For all abilities: you can choose to cycle your 100 miles in a single day or clock up your 100 miles in bite size chunks (e.g. cycle 20 miles a day for five days). Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just getting started with cycling, you can adjust this challenge to suit your own cycling ability.
* How do I log my miles? Log your miles on your fundraising page by connecting it with a Strava account. That way, your donors will be able to keep track of your progress and see where you feature on the event leader board.
Cycling Jersey and Finisher’s Medal: Since the virtual event is free to join, you will not receive a cycling jersey and finisher’s medal as standard. However we can order these for you on request, simply select these options on your registration form and they will be posted to you (before the event for the jersey, or after the event for the medal).
