Giro Abruzzo competition has closed - Winners announced!

Find out who won the cycling holiday to Italy, courtesy of Giro Abruzzo

The Giro Abruzzo competition is now closed and I'm happy to say that we have two winners...

Congratulations to Hedgerow and underworld99

You have each won a 3-night cycling holiday in Italy! Giro Abruzzo will be in contact to arrange your prizes.

Thank you to everyone that entered and better luck next time.

Well, here’s something to celebrate on this lockdown weekend.

Two of you will win a brilliant 3-night stay at a 4-star hotel in the heart of Italy. The prize includes guided cycling tours, which will allow you to explore the local roads with routes tailored to your ability.

This fabulous prize is courtesy of Giro D’Abruzzo, a cycling and adventure tour company based in the heart of Italy.

Italy is one of our favourite places to ride a bike and if you've never been, you're in for a treat. The rolling landscape offers the perfect terrain for mixed riding and once you've pedalled your way to the top of the hills, the views are breath-taking.

And that's before we even get onto the food and wine. Even with some big days on the bike, we'd be expecting to come home heavier than we left! Italian cuisine is truly stunning.

Giro competition Abruzzo

The holiday will be an all-inclusive trip to a 4-star hotel for three nights in mid-Italy, Abruzzo, which is normally £650 per person. Due to COVID-19, they expect the first opportunity for this trip will be in September/October 2020. But you do have a year from when the winners are announced to take your holiday.

You’ll be staying in the 4-star partner vineyard hotel in the beautiful region of Abruzzo, Central Italy. Included are airport return transfers, guided cycling tours, meeting a former Giro d’Italia winner, wine tasting, seeing the beautiful sites & tasting the local food.

Winners will also receive sponsor goodies when they visit. Cycling, local wine and Italian food, it sounds absolutely brilliant.

All you've got to do to enter is post a comment down below. Two winners will be selected at random on Monday 4th May, when the competition closes.

girodabruzzo.com

Giro D'Abruzzo is an experienced tour company based in and around Abruzzo providing not only cycle tours but tours to suit all those with a sense of adventure. Giro D'Abruzzo is also delighted to announce that they will also be offering holidays with lots of freebies to the Key Workers from all around the world, working hard to keep us all safe in these uncertain times.

The competition will run until midday Monday 4th May 2020. Employees of Farrelly Atkinson, Giro Abruzzo and their families and agents are excluded from entering. Only one entry per person. Multiple entries and automated entries will be identified and deleted at the sole discretion of Farrelly Atkinson. The winner will be drawn at random from all the genuine entries and notified using the email address supplied in the user's bio. Farrelly Atkinson is not responsible for non-receipt of a winner's email. Should a winner not respond within seven days of the sending of the winner's notification, another may be randomly selected at the sole discretion of Farrelly Atkinson. The name of the winner will be posted on road.cc following the draw. The prize is as described above; no cash alternative will be offered. Flights are not included in the prize.

Having cancelled a 3 week holiday in Italy this summer to clebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary, this would make an acceptable replacement.
