I'll sneak this one in here, though I'm not sure if it really belongs here:

Southampton: Car smashes into shop on St Catherines Road
The car ploughed into closed corner shop Jupider in the early hours of this morning, causing structural damage to the building.
This shop has been closed since it was ram-raided in January of last year.

Openreach under fire over delays to Amesbury cabinet repairs
A driver crashed into a green cabinet near Amesbury fire station after 10pm on Tuesday, March 18, damaging vital technology.
Staff at Avon Lodge (vet's) were left unable to answer the phone, access medical records or take payments because of the outage.
The practice initially hoped to reopen on March 31 – but now expects to be shut for all of next week because of uncertainty around the repairs.
An Avon Lodge spokesperson said: “We have had to make the unfortunate and difficult decision to keep our Amesbury branch closed for a further week due to the lack of clarity around when the repairs will be completed.

Oxfordshire village building car crash near Witney
The car came off the road and crashed in Ducklington, just south of Witney.
Police said three men escaped the scene and confirmed there were no injuries.
Thames Valley Police Rural Crime Taskforce posted a photo of the car on Facebook. It appears to be a Seat and the front of the car looks crumpled.

I like the way it even makes a cartoon-style hole in the wall too.
Weirdly interesting YouTube and didn't know cars were using Lidar - except Tesla, of course, plain old camera there.
It seemed a lot of trouble to go to to sneak a Lidar unit into Disneyworld just to map an enclosed roller-coaster and wouldn't wearing a face mask just draw attention to you at the security desk?
I think it's just a handful of cars that use Lidar currently, but it'll likely become the norm for autonomous vehicles as it has distinct advantages. What I like about Lidar is that it'll detect pretty much any kind of object/person in more or less any conditions (e.g. heavy fog), so even if the software is a bit rubbish, it can at least figure out "there's something directly in my path, better hit the brakes".
They can't spell "stupider"
Black ice or avoiding a cyclist
Of course the nutter being an Audi driver is just confirmation bias, just like the electric BMW driver killing a small child by SMASHING through the heavy metal fence around a sports ground in Kendal
I bet those ambulances have never paid tax in their lives! They should get out of the way of hard working, tax paying, otherwise law abiding cars
The flashing blue lights were in my eyes
And in Southampton today we had another example of those entitled ambulances going through red lights without a care for anyone else!

I'm glad the article went into more detail and cleared things up, the headline had me worried that some autonomous building had run rampant and crashed into an innocent parked car
*phew*
Silly of them to put the wall back there again. Couldn't they take a hint?
Presumably the car spent the 18 months recovering from its first attempt.

A road in the Fishponds area of Bristol is cordoned off this morning (Monday, January 20). Pictures show a section of Cassell Road taped off at the junction with Downend Road.
A car reportedly crashed into a wall at the junction opposite the Downend Tavern. The pictures show the damage caused to the wall with a number of fallen bricks on the pavement.
A witness said the collision took place at around 1.30pm yesterday (Sunday, January 19).

Bbc resume normal service (it's a tree not a building though this time):
They do mention a driver at some point, but they were merely in the car when this happened.
