Unexpected sunshine in these parts. I'm taking the wheel out!
It didn't last…

If the weather is as bad as they say it's gonna be then it looks like ride around Majorca and finish off with the new Tourmalet ride in HD.
I plan on at least one 100km ride this weekend, but after last weekends 20mph average over 65 miles into a non-stop rainstorm, I may have to re-think as that wasn't exactly pleasant.
My missus luckily is a marathon runner, so her training takes up nearly as much time as mine...nearly
When you do those big rides on the turbo do you have it inside or do you ride in in garage or outhouse - it must get incredibly hot?
I have it set up permanently in my gym. I have a ridiculous fan that actually manages to replicate the wind noise in your ears on the lowest setting, Ive never dared try it on the higher ones!
I did 3.5 hours on the Fortius on Saturday. A full trip of the Milan - San Remo which includes the Jaikzabel which is not that long but has some feirce gradients. Then finished off with the eastern climb of the Tourmalet!
The new HD Real Life Video's take a bit of getting used to. The picture quality is excellent, but they are in cinema style widescreen, so you have a black band top and bottom.
Had a nice tempo ride of a mere 35 miles today, so no metric for me, the first weekend for quite a while that I have missed out, still, my legs know about Saturdays turbo session...
I'll be spinning on my wheel. As usual
I was thinking I might find some fitness friends off of that google ad, but then i saw their URL - unfortunate cropping, or prescient editing? you decide...

Was hoping to get a nice big ride in this weekend to up my tally on the ol' MCC. But sadly life just gets in the way, instead I've got to move a whole bunch of crap out of the shed in our old house (which my in-laws bought) and put it in the shed in our new house. Been putting it off since August, but now the house has got tenants moving in and our lawnmower/hammock/old golf clubs/rake/camping crockery/weedkiller/tarpaulins have got to go. Don't know where though, my new shed is full of bikes

is my only free day, if I want to remain in a relationship with the long suffering girlfriend (she seems to get annoyed that I spend more time with my bikes than I do with her (insert a 'riding' pun here) and she is busy tomorrow, however, the MOT is due soon on my beloved 205 Rallye and she needs a bit of care too, like new rear brake shoes, so thats the best part of the day gone. Which is a bit pants. Last Saturday I managed 80km before darkness set in, desperatley need to be getting some miles in ready for the Etape..!
Just realised one of, the many, things I will be doing tomorrow. Might try and get out early for a bit of a blast though, but I'm rubbish at getting up early at the weekends
Is there any other type of partner for a cyclist than a long-suffering one?
I'll be out, but probably doing the dirty on my MTB...
given that a thought too, only I sold my cinder cone on Wednesday, so am currently mtb-less, for the first time in 12 or 14 years. Been offered a Scott Ransom 40 for £400 (it does need some work) and I also know of a carerra LRS2 for £250, but then this isnt really the correct forum for this kind of talk is it?!
Hi, I have owned 4 106 Rallyes in succession was going to try something different. I have been told that the 205 1.3 LHD are the ones to go for just wondered what you think I would have to pay? Cheers
found some old rollers too...
better get in training for the next rollapaluza ![19](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/19.gif)
Don't know if I will manage 100km but I will get out there amongst the wet leaves and I hope not to test the abrasion resistance of my new bibs - I gave the old ones a bit of a blacktop workout this time last year. They didn't like it. Wet leaves and cow shit are a nasty combo on a country road.![20](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/20.gif)
