Criterium du Dauphine

The Tour de France warm up event is upon is! Still 3 days to go and 7 teams are yet to finalise their rosters, so sit tight for EF Education First, Katusha, FDJ, Lotto Soudal, Arkea, Vital, and Cofidis.

This race is a difficult one to call. Two medium mountains days to kick off, two flat days follow with an ITT sandwiched in the middle, and then two high mountains days with a summit finish sandwiched in the middle finish the race off.

Very few pure sprinters are heading to this one, but a hat full of stage hunters and GC men are in attendance.

Good luck!

Froome could be the only Sky rider going for this TT if Kiri's half way time is anything to go by.

Crazy race to pick.

Kwiatowski playing super domestique. Alaphilippe playing something I don't quite understand.

On holiday and no time to plan.

Dlamini dropping out forcing my hand for tomorrow.

Just spotted Armee DNF too.

Took out Bennett for  Gilbert with a view to reversing tomorrow. Gilbert should be worth at least 20 points today possibly 35 plus so how much is two transfers worth in peoples opinions?

If he'd got over 20, I'd have said that was a good trade.

I made no subs. Looking back, Lutsenko would have been a good transfer. Never thought about G Martin or Teuns. This was a crazy stage. Highest score 110.

Thanks for the response.

It didn't work out too well but I think it was worth the shot.

At least the pecking order has established itself.

Porte and Dumoulin are wasters and just a question of how many sprinters to bring in for one day.

9 or 10 really strong GC guys who could win. So hard to call.

Also a strong  field of riders capable of winning stages from the same teams as the GC boys. Gaudu, Groschartner and such like...

Not that it matters, but the Purist game is spelled wrong.

Pricing on this one seems terrifying although mostly justified... Purist is going to be a case of getting lucky I think.

Prices are really good....not many bargains to be had this time.

Purist always has an element of luck. Best player in this game is Tony by a distance....he was doing really well in the purist as well as being top in the standard game...and then just fell like a stone in the purist over a couple of tours, safe to assume it wouldn't have been through picking poor riders...it just happens. I think you can make a case for safety in numbers usually (maybe not for this one) with somebody like Dumoulin in the Giro...crashed out but then again he crashed out for a lot of players...same with De Gent and his no show in the breaks. I had only two riders finish a one week tour last season in the purist...sheesh...

1st stage is really hard to call. I may set my team up for the first 3 stages and aim not to make transfers.

This is a really strong line up Andy....dare I say it....better than the Giro.

Never mind all that....what we really need to know for this one is who’s going in the breaks.
