Manchester mayor Andy Burnham to pay almost £2k speeding fine
That's quite some fine, although that might be because he was doing nearly double the speed limit

Cornwall coastal path blocked after driver takes unconventional route

If you're thinking you've seen this before, well a black Mercedes did get stuck on a coast path in Cornwall last year. I'm not sure if it's the same car

Police and firefighters attended a car that had flipped at 5am in Whixall, near Whitchurch, Shropshire on Sunday morning. Later that day a Passat driver was arrested on suspicion of being intoxicated and car seized in Telford. On a Sunday!!

There were also 2 separate car fires in Telford and Ironbridge in the early hours of Sunday morning and one in Shrewsbury that evening:

Last Monday West Mercia's speed enforcement team were in Hagley, Worcestershire. "54 offences detected with a highest recorded speed of 83MPH in a 40!" (the tweet shows a time of 10:54 for that one)
Tiny electric car tips over while driving around Monaco Grand Prix hairpin
Who knew that the Citroën Ami was self-driving?

Scores of commuters whose cars were parked on the pavement returned to find their vehicles had been vandalised.

"I understand the frustration. I know it's not right for the locals but it's definitely not right for the people paying money for train tickets."
So now buying a train ticket entitles you to park wherever you want regardless of how it affects others.
A driver's bizarre decision to abandon his car in the middle of the road caused traffic mayhem in Colchester city centre.

All caused by the cycle lane of course !

Mercedes driver stuck in middle of road after hitting bollard in 'slowest crash ever'

Campaigners to stage seafront 'park in' against road changes
The protest will see people park their cars as they used to along the seafront - and leave them there
This is what it comes down to - the “right” of drivers to park on the seafront with the Daily Mail and a flask of tea.

Southampton cemetery bollards plans: Families stage protest

'Selfish cow' written on mum's car window in Westcountry town
Tensions over parking are growing in this Westcountry town
Not sure what this is all about, here in genteel Topsham; it's a 1 hour parking restriction 9-5; the van near the end of the row belongs to Arthur's.

made for tv shocker
How the f*** did 3 motorists manage to drive that close to the kerb? I wouldn't cycle there let alone drive.
Erm - so how fast was she driving in that thick fog, exactly...?
“We are sick with worry.”
It's tough facing a national disaster such as this, striking fear into hearts. Looks like the use of legs might be required in this clearly deprived area
Great find.
no punishment the court could impose would come close to what the driver has been putting himself through...
Another example of the fashionable shyster lawyer tactic of converting the extremely guilty offender into a victim. It would have been pretty much the same outcome if he'd killed a cyclist, as we have seen so often on here
Quick - someone ask them to define 'woke' and see if they can do better than Bethany Mandel's brain freeze when asked the same.
I wonder what would have alerted the police that he was a banned driver?
Did it not occur to the driver that the police knew where he lived?
Sometimes the criminal minds is quite amazingly dense.
I think the intention was to stop people just driving right through the city centre when all they are doing is driving right through rather than having to be there.
Isn't that what they mean by a grace period?
"We would urge drivers to take care when driving and remain alert throughout their journeys. Take time when making decisions at junctions and ensure that you have read the situation accurately before making your manoeuvre."
The fact that the police feel the need to give such basic advice to stop people being killed sums up the standard of driving shown by the average driver nicely.
I'm glad cyclists are required to dismount - I mean phew! right?
based on income isnt it...
They want some of those bollards to stop that.
Milton Keynes has a few that should have been going spare...
We've got one of those near us and I can't decide if I love it or hate it. It looks like it's made of lego, it's butt-ugly, I reckon it would crumple like tinfoil in a collision but.... I think I'd want to drive it like Mario cart which I'm assuming is what was happening on the hairpin 😄
Hmm - I wonder what that offensive sticker was...?
"The scheme has also resulted in a serious visual impact on the seafront"
A bigger visual impact than motor vehicles? Tell me your argument is bullshit without telling me it's bullshit
You didn't include the opening words of the article:
A GOOD Samaritan motorist
I therefore sentence you to one bent Presta valve stem. In arriving at this sentence, I have taken into account your previous good behaviour, but be warned if you appear before me again, stiffer penalties such as a drivetrain clunk on every other pedal stroke are available.
Exhibit 1 - despite bad weather and pitch-black, he chose the B road via Brandon, rather than the A134 via Thetford.
Mundford, the destination, is on the junction of the roads from Brandon and Theford.
Is she one of these drivers that goes along A roads at 40 mph and applies the brakes every time she sees a tree or oncoming?
