Women's road cycling coaching day on Nov 15th at Hillingdon

Experts on hand, plus chance to ride 2010 Trek WSD bikes on car-free circuit

Hillingdon Cycle Circuit in West London will next month host to female-focused event that will offer coaching and advice to women to help them gain comfort in using a road bike for getting to work, training, and perhaps even racing.

Taking place on Sunday 15th November, the Women's Road Cycling Coaching day is backed by cycle manufacturer Trek and BikeEnvy, a soon-to-be-launched women’s cycling magazine. Participants will have the opportunity to try out a women specific design bike from Trek’s 2010 range as well as taking part in a bike maintenance session.

British Cycling coach Graham MacNamee will take charge of the on-the-bike sessions, while sports scientist Lynn Clay will give advice on nutrition and personal trainer and sports masseuse Lynn Clay will also provide her services. Bicycle fitting service CycleFit will also be on hand, offering free mini consultations to help check riding position.

The event runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm and tickets, costing £25, include a healthy lunch and afternoon tea. Places are limited and can be booked by emailing janetbirkmyre [at] btconnect.com.
