Storck release Aernario Signature Edition

Storck are producing 50 Aernario Signature Edition bikes to mark the 50th birthday of head honch Markus Storck.

If you fancy something a little bit special and you have a spare £15,000 kicking around that you don't know what to do with (that's all of us, right?) then this might be just what you're looking for.

Storck say that they’ve upgraded the carbon and resin used for this model, and that they've gone for a raw hand-polished finish (as opposed to lacquer). They reckon that the raw finish is possible ‘because of the ultra high manufacturing quality’ that they're offering.

Few decals are used here, Storck going for the ‘less is more’ approach. Spend £15,000 on a bike and you don't need to shout about it, and multiple logos are just so vulgar. You do get a Storck logo, Markus’ signature, and a serial number on the top tube... and that's yer lot.

The Signature Edition bikes are built up with some very select components including a THM Scapula CT fork, German handmade THM Powerarms G2 cranks, and a set of superlight THM Fibula Carbon brakes. Each of these has a matt clear coat finish to complement the frame.

Each bike also comes fitted with a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupset, Storck’s own Platinum bar and post, plus a Lightweight’s Obermayer wheelset – so Storck haven't made any concessions to budget here.

The saddle pictured has been customised to Markus’ anatomy, whereas the ones on the Signature Edition bikes for sale are standard Selle Italia Monolink SLRs.

The frame weighs 790g and Storck give the complete bike weight as just 5.38kg (11.8lb) in a size 57cm.
