Well I broke no records but I did finish yesterday, in some of the worst conditions I have ever ridden through, Five of the I think seven Cat 1 climbs in the pouring rain, The last two in a lightening storm, freezing cold with rock slides, fallen trees and rivers of water. Still I got the finishers Shirt but I am not sure if I should wear it or frame it
One interesting point with regard to the article, the organizers make a point of the riders being self sufficient except for the refreshment stops, But many riders where fully supported, I'm only jealous I could have done with 2 or 3 changes of kit
If he's that good, how come he doesn't ride for a team? I mean, he "won" the Etape......
Awesome/insane.
I'm staying in Chamonix in September actually - anyone know what the best/most famous climbs are around there?
Check out www.cycling-challenge.com. Full of excellent information.
