Kraftwerk reworked - Tour de France in Cockney piano style

Ivories suitably tinkled as German band's classic is reworked on the old Joanna as Tour hits East End...

At this time of year, many cycling fans of a certain age and/or musical bent can't help but hum or whistle the classic Kraftwerk tune, Tour de France. But with the race running through the East End of London yesterday, one has taken it further - reworking it in Cockney piano style.

We like it a lot - and if you're missing the original, after the piano piece, you'll find a video of  the German synth band playing at the Manchester Velodrome in 2009 while some of Team GB's finest whizz round the track.

There is also the version by German techno artist Uwe Schmidt / Atom Heart, under one of his many guises, 'Señor Coconut Y Su Conjunto'
