Yes, I can see that from the article. Thanks.
My parents chose utterly random words for my name too.

If you have a contract with a WT team, you cannot ride in the U23

The Yates bros have more than earned their place in the Elite squad but wouldn't it be better to have them in the U23 team? It's a race that Adam especially could have a fair crack at winning. With the talent they have senior team selection doesn't appear to be a problem for the remainder of their careers.

I think it is a shame that you could not use bold text for woman road race team. As you have with the men. Reflects how woman are treated in this sport.

Please tell me this is tongue in cheek?

I'm perfectly aware and appreciative of Millar's experience and role during Cav world champ victory. I just don't see his current level being good enough to perform that duty during a hard 250k race.

based on current levels of performance? David Millar? Honestly?

As much as I like DM, this is not the time for farewell handouts. Just look at some of the performances of UK riders at the most recent ToB - surely someone like Richard Handley and others should be given an opportunity. Or Adam Blythe.

They've not got the experience as Road Captain. Millar is probably the best in the pro peloton at that. Look at what he did in the Worlds when Cav won.

DM is there purely based on experience, hence the road captain term.

Looks like a very strong men's team, hopefully all the potential British winners stay out of sight until the last few laps.

It isn't even that difficult to find a passported, top quality female cyclist....none of the Team Pursuit World Champions are involved for one, whilst I appreciate it is a very different sport they have all ridden road most of the season....

Go Tao Geoghegan Hart. Remember to attack just AFTER the corner this time! Good to see he's recovered, that ToB crash looked nasty.

@balmybaldwin I agree.

Nothing to loose by pushing up one of the U23 women. They gain experience etc. Or picking someone from the national TT scene.

Probably come up against the same problem as Matt Bottrill when he wanted to have a bash at the hour - no bio passport.

But yes, it is a travesty.

It's a travesty that no Women are entered in the elite TT
