The Cycle Show 2014 preview part 1: Fondriest, De Rosa, Argon 18, Raleigh, Kinesis, Time, KTM, Campagnolo and more

The Cycle Show returns to Birmingham's NEC next week (26-28 September) and to give you a taste of what you can expect to see from the many exhibitors, we’ve rounded up some of the highlights to whet your appetite and give you a taste of what you can expect to see.

Raleigh to show 2015 models

Raleigh will be showing 2015 bike models at the Cycle Show, highlights of which we brought you a while ago in this article. They’ll have the new steel-framed disc-equipped Maverick alongside the new Revenio Disc model, as well as the new aluminium Criterium which starts at just £1,000.

Fondriest TF2 1.5

Fondriest will be showing this stunning new TF2 1.5. The frame features a tapered head tube up front with a new Reflex fork with a distinctive curve from the dropout to the crown. All cables are internally routed. Claimed weight for a medium size frame is a respectable 950g.

KTM

Austrian brand KTM will be showing off their latest bike, the Revelator Sky packing a carbon fibre frame and fork with disc brakes and thru-axles at both ends. The bike features a longer wheelbase than the model it’s based on, which also allows space for bigger 28mm tyres.

Campagnolo Bora clincher wheels and Chorus EPS groupset

Italian manufacturer Campagnolo will be showcasing their brand new Bora 35 and 50mm clincher carbon wheels at the show, alongside the new Chorus EPS 11-speed groupset. 

Kinesis 2015 range on display

Kinesis will be showing their 2015 range, including the Aithein in a range of colours (that's it above) as well as the new colours available for the 4S winter training bike. A highlight of their stand will be a complete T2 bike with mudguards for £999. 

Selev to show new helmets and glasses

There’ll be a bit of a Italian flavour at the Cycle Show as helmet manufacturer Selev will be in attendance and showing some of their latest 2015 products, including this new DOC helmet which we don’t know anything about, but we’ll certainly be finding out more about at the show.

De Rosa will show new King XS

Surely one of the star attractions at the Cycle Show will be the beautiful new King XS from Italian manufacturer De Rosa. Especially if they take along this orange version that they showed at Eurobike last month. The main thing about this new frame is the relocation of the rear brake to the underside of the chainstays, producing very clean and uncluttered chainstays. 

New Argon 18 Nitrogen aero bike on show

Argon 18 will be joining the WorldTour next year and you can bet many of the team will choose to ride this new Nitrogen, the Canadian company’s first aero road bike. The frame is packed with aero details, no doubt influenced by their popular time trial models, with the front v-brake concealed behind the fork blades, an aero seat post and head tube and profiled down tube just some of the key details.

Time Skylon

Want to see the new Skylon from Time with your own eyes? Then you’ll have to get yourself to the Cycle Show, where the new bike will be on show. This new bike is available with Time’s unique Aktiv vibration damping fork technology, which aims to deliver a smoother ride. Otherwise, the frame is claimed to be much stiffer than Time’s existing ZXRS.
