London’s Brompton are now offering their folding bikes in six new colours.
Those new colours are:
• Tempest blue
• Berry crush
• Ivory
• Lime green
• Cherry blossom
• Lagoon blue
These add to the seven existing finishes on offer. Want to know those too?
• Black
• White
• Turkish green
• Racing green
• Orange
• Red
• Raw lacquer
When you buy a Brompton, you can choose the colour of both the main frame – the central tube, the hinge, the head tube, the seat tube and the bottom bracket – and the extremities – the rear triangle, the fork legs, and the stem.
You can spec those two areas in the same colours, or in two different colours. Use the Bike Builder option on Brompton’s website and you can come up with some cool (and some not-so-cool) combinations.
This one has the mainframe in that new lagoon blue with orange extremities. I'm not quite sure if it’s doing it for me or not.
Cherry blossom and ivory, anyone? Are pastel shades in at the moment? I lose track. This one looks a bit Laura Ashley to me.
Or what about lime green all the way? It's eye-catching, you have to admit.
As ever, you can also spec the type of handlebars you want, the gears, mudguards, tyres, lighting, rack, and so on.
I’d better crack on with some proper work (yes, proper work) rather than messing about with Brompton’s Bike Builder function, but if you want to pick up where I’ve left off and design yourself a good-looking Brompton, head over to their website and get creative. http://brompton.com/

My Brompton was 13 years old this year. Now looks like a great time to upgrade.
