Video: Cameras follow Team Sky at Paris Roubaix

Landmark day as British team says goodbye to Sir Bradley Wiggins

Irrespective of the result, yesterday’s Paris-Roubaix was always going to be a landmark race for Team Sky as it said goodbye to Sir Bradley Wiggins, and cameras were there for the final instalment of its Hell of a Ride series following the Cobbled Classics.

Wiggins, who now heads to his own team, finished 18th in the French Monument, and was one of the protagonists of a race in which he attacked 32 kilometres out but was brought back the group containing the main favourites including race winner, John Degenkolb.

Sky’s top placed rider was Luke Rowe, who won the sprint for eighth place, while Geraint Thomas, who had earlier had to battle back from two punctures, was forced to abandon after crashing when he hit a kerb.
