Me too !
Thanks for the T-shirt, much appreciated
Further to my Street view image, the Mrs was carrying her camera around her neck and grabbed a quick pic of the Google car as it passed. The car is left hand drive and has a foreign number plate.
Our club is a bit varied and you can see a tandem and a trike out on that evening.

I've found Streetview really useful for writing the route instructions for the next tour I'm leading. When I write "signposted to Arcos de la Frontera" I now know it really is - even though 15 years must have passed since I last went that way.
Snag is though: it now takes even longer to write the route than ride it!
So I followed the car as it continued along the main road - only they'd shot that some other time. Today they were evidently doing the side roads. It had to stop at the lights under the concrete "footbridge" alongside the railway, that everyone furtively cycles over - ever since they sliced Guildford in two by "improving" the A3 into a virtual motorway - but without a hard shoulder. You know the scene.
I waited to see where the car would go next, and it turned left up to Midleton Industrial Estate, so here's me again, on the pavement, but not actually riding on it at that moment!

Must have been a fun job - following the main road from my house the pictures change season at almost every click along the route
nice pic Crankwinder0 are you at the limit of the mighty google zoom there. It is pretty mighty too, thomase back up near the top is damn near invisible on the standard view.
I saw the Google Streetview car on the way to work in Guildford last summer. It was waiting to turn out of Woodbridge Meadows as I approached on the cyclepath from the River, but I was a fair way off so I'm tiny in this picture.

I have the double whammy of waving to you all in the pic at the top of this article in addition to this being my second appearance on Streetview, surely that entitles me and my erstwhile riding companions to some t-shirts. No?
your t-shirt is in the post Jurek.
BTW some of the other posters who made the cut off still haven't been in touch with their addresses so we can send them their Ts… we have run out of certain sizes and colours so get in touch quick to avoid disappointment
Hi all - is this the first tandem to make it onto Streetview?

hey people!
This is for sure the very first Bullitt cargobike who was "shot" 2 times on one day by Google in Portugal.
First, a "drive-by-shooting" on a pedestrian way:
GOTCHA!
Second, one hour later in front of the office:
GOTCHA! AGAIN!
Cheers to yo all!

He's the one at the back, having trouble logging in so he asked me to post before cut-off time. More info here - http://birminghamcyclist.ning.com/photo/snapped-by-google-street-view
@brumcyclist
thanks!
Here's a guy from the local cycling club looking very smart (although he's just broken the law by riding the wrong way down a one-way street)

Although you'd never know it, I'm the second one here

I love this these pics are so interesting. Hope people will keep posting even after our Tiffin time deadline!

I think I had just been to buy some sausages!
Tell you what, as the sumbitter, I'll have the T and share it with the rest of the club

heh. we're not made of tees
One more day to run on this one then, i reckon. If you're on streetview on your bike you've got until tiffin time today to tell us (4pm) - then we'll bag and tag all those shirts!
that's me in the pic. Yellow jersey. Fame at last!

If you zoom in enough, I'm third from left with my arms crossed
Where's my t-shirt....blue please
I am in front of Jurek, not waving.
I let a van overtake me as I came back from a ride in Norfolk, tried to catch it up again when I worked out what it was !

Oh - and go easy on the comments about me riding a three wheeler - that extra one is courtesy of Google.
Mrs Psychalist and myself cycle touring on Islay last June. So glad they had film in the camera that day! http://bit.ly/ak8XXD
I was so excited to hear the streetview had finally gone live in our area. I remember the car going by just as I was heading out for a little off-road jaunt middle of last year.

I even waved
This is me in blue and the Mrs in red out on a Stonehouse Wheelers club ride one evening. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=haresfield...
And then this is me cycling up a 1 in 8 on a lightweight 1980s Raleigh with Brooks saddle and matching leather tape.

Here's me, albeit with my head rather squashed by the Street View camera:

I'm so glad I was wearing my red jersey and red helmet that day to co-ordinate with the red bike with red bar tape.
Is it sad I can remember exactly where I was a year ago when I was passed by the Street View car?
I was snapped last year:

And, schoolboy-for-brains, I couldn't resist using the UK-wide Streetview to go poking around Pratts Bottom, and other such rude placenames:

here's me with just one hill to go before home
they even got my best side
