Team road.cc Swindon & Chichester Rideouts

Come and ride with team road.cc in 2016!

Over the last few months team road.cc have been dotting ourselves around the country with our series of rideouts taking in everything from the lanes of the New Forest to the hills of the Peak District. We've got the next two planned for the beginning of 2016 so if you fancy coming for a ride with some club members and staff follow the links below and put your name down.

First up is a route around the Wiltshire lanes starting from the Hargroves Cycles store in Swindon on Sunday 24th January . Hargroves have supported some of the other rideouts and they always offer top notch hospitality with the likes of mechanical support and post ride nibbles. I, Stu Kerton, will be there on the day too, chatting, riding and eating cake.

Hargroves are looking after us at their Chichester store on Sunday 21st February too. Team road.cc club member Ian Upham is looking after this one and while the route hasn't been finalised yet anyone who rode the New Forest event will know you're likely to get stunning scenery, quiet roads and a decent cafe stop.

We'll update this page with route details once we have them including distances and elevation.

These are just a couple of the events we’re planning for team road.cc members, so if you fancy joining the club – it’s £14.95 a year, for which you’ll receive socks and stickers worth £10.99, £20 off a road.cc classic argyle jersey and 10% off everything in the road.cc shop, plus you'll get a membership card entitling you to discounts at various cafes and shops throughout the country – have a look here.  - See more at: http://road.cc/join-team-roadcc

Since writing his first bike review for road.cc back in early 2009 senior product reviewer Stu has tested more than a thousand pieces of kit, and hundreds of bikes.

With an HND in mechanical engineering and previous roles as a CNC programmer/machinist, draughtsman and development engineer (working in new product design) Stu understands what it takes to bring a product to market. A mix of that knowledge combined with his love of road and gravel cycling puts him in the ideal position to put the latest kit through its paces.

He first made the switch to road cycling in 1999, primarily for fitness, but it didn’t take long for his competitive side to take over which led to around ten years as a time triallist and some pretty decent results. These days though riding is more about escapism, keeping the weight off and just enjoying the fact that he gets to ride the latest technology as part of his day job.
