It’s the day for all things hearts and flowers, and this Valentine’s Day, see if you can spot Brighton’s most romantic bike stand - and snap us a picture.
Four heart-shaped bike parking stands have been installed around Brighton, having been left over from a London to Brighton British Heart Foundation ride installation.
The council is asking locals and tourists to snap photos of them and tag them in Twitter with #BHLoveCycling - and we’d love to see them too - so tag us @roadcc.
The hearts are only temporary - unless Twitter shows them some love - so get snapping.
To start you off, they’re all in the North Laine area - if you can find all four and let us know there might even be a pair of road.cc socks in it for you.
Councillor Gill Mitchell, chairwoman of the city's environment, transport and sustainability committee, said: “This is a lovely fun idea and will provide some temporary, more secure bike parking in the city centre, as well as highlight the popularity of cycling in the city.”
The first three stages might be free to view, but after that, we can't watch any more. Seems like a kick in the teeth to UK viewers.
So, if these dumb little brats hadn't incriminated themselves for social media likes, this would've been written off as "just one of those things"...
Now do the math after learning that ~93% of the Dutch population is urban....
Eh? How do they overtake you in the first place if you have to have a support vehicle? Surely they wouldn't be able to pass that in order to close...
You can both be right - the scheme was introduced by Labour, but the fines levied under it increased dramatically in 2023 under the Tories.
i would hazard a suggestion that if the first car had waited patiently (rather than making a closeish pass whilst overtaking adjacent to a junction...
Agreed, there was no supension. There were various modifications of the plan, and a long time before the Beafort Rd and Crews Hole Rd one way plan...
My only use for a camera is for "evidence". I only check it (& check before and after every ride) to make sure it is working. While I have had...
I don't see anything in what they said to suggest that they even think about 3rd party reporting of dangerous driving as being part of the picture...
