Great cycling deals from Radial Cycles

Radial Cycles paid the DealCatcher a visit this week - they brought with them 8 bike bargains & more!

In possibly the biggest DealCatcher takeover in history, British bike brand Radial Cycles have raided their warehouses country-wide to come up with an enormous range of discounts especially for road.cc readers.

We start proceedings with the eight bikes that Radial have on offer. Each bike is available for a test ride before you commit to buying, you'll have to make your way over to Radial Cycle's Redbridge Cycle Centre to take advantage of that offer, though.

Apart from their huge selection of massively discounted alloy, carbon, cyclocross, and hybrid bikes, Radial have thrown a selection of their enormous range of top quality cycle accessories into the mix too.

Not only are they offering massive discounts on bike locks, bike lights, track pumps, and Continental tyres, they're giving you the option of a free accessory bundle of your choice when you buy one of their bikes.

If all of this isn't already screaming value to you, you really need to read into these deals a little further. Fortunately for you, we've got a whole lot more information just a little way further down this page:

Radial Alloy Road Bikes

25% off Radial's Revere 2.1 Road Bike
WAS £599.99 | NOW £449.99

22% off Radial Revere 1.1 Road Bike
WAS £699.99 | NOW £549.99

Radial Revere 1.1 Alloy.png

As far as entry level road bikes go, you shouldn't be looking at anything other than aluminium alloy.

The Radial Alloy range does a fantastic job of making excellent kit incredibly affordable for riders early in their cycling experience. Both of their Revere alloy options offer fantastic riding experiences, so much so, that they could both also do fantastic winter training jobs for experienced riders who are conscious of exposing their best bikes to awful wintry conditions.

The more affordable Revere 2.1 is a really solid first road bike. Shimano's excellent Sora groupset will keep you moving, while the stiff double butted 6061 alloy frame and fork, which leaves enough room for mudguards, will keep your power transfer high enough that you won't feel sluggish.

If you've got an extra £100 available to you in your budget, the Revere 1.1 is certainly worth a look. The inclusion of a carbon fork, and the more effective Shimano Tiagra groupset make it a more attractive prospect to the more experienced rider.

Both bikes come with free Radial clipless pedals, which should help first time bike buyers get going sooner.

Radial Carbon Road Bikes

25% off Radial's Revere Carbon 1.1 105 Road Bike
WAS £1399.00 | NOW £1049.99

21% off Radial's Revere Carbon 1.1 Apex Road Bike
WAS £1199.99 | NOW £949.99

Radial Revere Carbon 1.1.png

For riders with a bit more experience and who are looking to step up their Strava times, or looking to keep up with the faster group on their Sunday rides, carbon could be the way to go.

Radial offer a fantastic selection of carbon bikes, which we know first hand as our tech editor Mat Brett spent some time with the Revere Carbon 1.1 Apex last year.

The Apex 1.1 run's SRAM's 10-speed Apexx groupset - their fourth tier - but runs the cables internally. The cable routing is compatible with electronic shifting should you look to upgrade in the future - which is highly possible given the quality of the Toray carbon fibre frame.

If you're more of a Shimano kinda guy or gal, the Revere Carbon 1.1 is also available in Shimano 105 flavour - the difference being, as you'd expect, the groupset.

Radial Gravel & Cyclocross Bikes

34% off Radial's Revere X 1.1 Gravel Cross Bike
WAS £899.99 | NOW £599.99

29% off Radial's Revere X 2.1 Gravel Cross Bike
WAS £699.99 | NOW £499.99

Radial Revere X 2.1 Gravel.png

While cyclocross season may be over, the weather in Britain means that it's almost always cyclocross season as long as you're willing to head a little bit off-road. The same goes for your commutes, the weather won't let up, so if you're commuting to and from a rural home or office you might want to explore cyclocross bikes as an option.

Cyclocross and gravel bikes are built specifically to manage uneaven and loose surfaces at speed, and these Radial Revere X options do just that.

The slightly more expensive 1.1 carries a carbon fork and Shimano's Tiagra groupset, while the 2.1 is all aluminium and uses Shimano's still excellent Sora groupset.

As far as value goes, there's very little in it between these bikes, so we'd advise you to choose the one that fits your budget best.

Radial Hybrid Bikes

26% off Radial's Compel 2.1 Hybrid Bike
WAS £539.99 | NOW £399.99

29% off Radial's Compel 1.1 Hybrid Bike
WAS £699.99 | NOW £499.99

Radial Compel 1.1 Hybrid.png

Of course, cycling isn't only about speed. For many of us, especially those of us in urban environments, cycling's about getting to where you want to go comfortably and safely.

If those are your criteria, Radial's Compel range of hybrid bikes are for you.

Big Radial wheels and Kenda 35C tyres will see you over all sorts of bumps and uneven riding surfaces comfortably, while the relaxed geometry and upright riding position will make you far more visible on the road, and a whole lot more comfortable if speed isn't your main concern.

Like the bike options above, the difference between Radial's Compel 1.1 and 2.1 models are their groupset. Both run Shimano, but the slightly more expensive 1.1 is carrying Shimano's slightly sharper Sora groupset.

Both bikes also come with flat pedals so you'll be able to get riding straight away.

Radial Locks

50% off Radial Grasp Mini D-Lock
WAS £19.99 | NOW £9.99

50% off Radial Grasp D-Lock
WAS £24.99 | NOW £12.49

Radial Grasp D-Locks.jpg

Radial Cycles don't just want to get you riding, they want to keep you riding too. Their range of half price bike locks show just that.

Both Grasp D-Lock options are heavy duty U-locks - or D-locks if you prefer - which are your best bet if you want to keep your bike safe.

The smaller Grasp Mini D-Lock is suited to those of you who need to lock your bike up in lots of different crowded places while you're on the go, while the slightly heavier and stronger Grasp D-Lock isn't quite as portable, it'll do a better job of keeping your bike safe.

Radial Lights

44% off Radial's Pharos 3-Watt Front Light
WAS £29.99 | NOW £16.99

Radial Pharos Light.jpg

Radial are also offering a hugely discounted range of bike lights today.

One in particular we already know that you lot like, because it made it onto the final list of our People's Choice award for bike lights.

You can read about that below, where you can also read an 8/10 review for another one of Radial's lights that's on offer, their Pharos Rear Safety Light.

33% off Radial's Tempest Pro Track Pump
WAS £29.99 | NOW £19.99

Radial Tempest Track Pump.jpg

Radial's final bike accessory offer - if you don't count tyres as a bike accessory - is there very well thought-of Tempest Pro Track Pump.

While we haven't had one of these in for testing at road.cc yet, the word on the street is that it out-performs track pumps with significantly higher price tags.

It features a 2.5" pressure gauge and will pump out 160psi of pressure. The barrel and footplate are both steel, so you can trust that the structure won't fall apart.

47% off Continental's Grand Prix 4000S II Folding Tyres
WAS £99.90 | NOW £52.99

Continental Grand Prix 4000S.jpg

We love these, and as the only non-Radial product on this list, you can trust Radial Cycles do too.

When we had the Continental Grand Prix 4000S II Folding Tyres in for review we gave them a stellar 9/10.

Our main man Dave Atkinson called them "Excellent big-chambered race tyre with a fast and smooth feel."
