There's a new climb in the finale of Sunday's Liege-Bastogne-Liege - and as this video from Katusha's Joaquin Rodriguez shows, it's a relentless slog that may prove decisive.
Crested just 2.5km from the end of the sport's oldest Classic, giving it the nickname La Doyenne, the Côte de la Rue Naniot is 600 metres long with an average gradient of 10.5 per cent.
There will still be one more climb to negotiate, the Rue Walthere Jamere ahead of the left turn to the line, but we're expecting some fireworks here on Sunday.
Here's Rodriguez, nicknamed Purito, riding it with Amstel Gold winner Enrico Gasparotto of Wanty-Gobert; the turn onto the cobbled climb comes at around the 1-minute mark.

Just shows the huge reserves of power, with such a low heart rate
I am very excited about this race... videos like this do nothing to help my excitement!
Although slightly disappointed that they cropped the bottom of his computer as he hit the climb - was waiting to see what his heart rate did. Looks like no escape from the cobbles, no gutters and the pavements I assume will be full of spectators.

Getting back to reality that really shows how far away from the rest of us pro cyclists are. One handed, cobbles, uphill, so relaxed, so much in reserve.
