Cyclist "critical" after Central London bus collision

Police have appealed for witnesses after a cyclist was seriously injured yesterday in a collision involving a bus on the Strand in central London.

Officers say they were called to the scene at the junction with Arundel Street, WC1, shortly after 5pm on Saturday 4 June.

The cyclist, aged in his 40s, sustained serious head injuries and was taken to hospital by air ambulance with his condition is described as “critical.”

The driver of the bus was not arrested but was said to be helping police in their investigation.
