Can (E)U forget about your problems this #mycyclingweekend?

There were a few unhappy cyclists on Friday. Let's try and 'Remain' positive, regardless whether you were 'Leave' or not + you could WIN a pump...

Neither us here at road.cc, or the folks over at Cycle Surgery, want to get embroiled in yet another debate about Britain and the EU. This #mycyclingweekend is all about forgetting about that and heading out for a nice head-clearing ride.

It doesn't matter if you're in a celebratory mood because you voted 'Leave,' or if you're an angry or depressed 'Remain' voter like the group of cyclists who gave Boris Johnson a rollicking yesterday morning - it's time to forget and do what we do best: ride.

If you'd like to join us in that endeavour, feel free. There's one rule though, you've gotta take a photo of you out on your ride and send it to us via Twitter or Instagram.

Fortunately for you guys, a good bit of wheel-based therapy isn't all that's in store for you this #mycyclingweekend. Should you take a particularly great photo of you having a good time this weekend, you could win a fantastic prize from our good friends over at Cycle Surgery.

The cycling doctors are offering the winner of this weekend's #mycyclingweekend competition a Lezyne Floor Drive track pump worth around £40.

To win, though, you need to remember to include BOTH the #mycyclingweekend hashtag AND the #CycleSurgery hashtag.

Get your entries in for #mycyclingweekend to win this Lezyne Floor Drive Pump!

It's best to just remember that there are plenty of things to smile about; riding your bike is just one of them. There's also those fantastic big breakfasts you can justify because of your cycling habit, and those mid-ride coffee breaks.

See, you're smiling already, aren't ya?

Here are a few of our favourite happy photos from this week - add your name to this list and that Lezyne Floor Drive could be yours!

Does this mean we can also vote to leave the UCI and their draconian regulations and rules???

Wow if I had to anticipate a ford like the one crossed by the pair of cyclist, I would definitely get off my bike and lift it in order to avoid submerging pedals, BB and maybe hubs. Once that I did it, the next day the pedals squealed quite loudly. Never opened them, though to see any real damage, I replaced them soon afterwards.

Does this mean you'll all stop worrying about whether you can ride disc brake bikes in European Gran Fondos?
