2016 saw Mike Cotty tackling everything from Colorado’s 4,302m Pikes Peak to the legendary Giro climb the Colle delle Finistere for his Col Collective online video series. Going by this preview, it seems there’s plenty more to come in 2017.
The project is diversifying too with a recent announcement that the Col Collective website is to start offering cycling holidays.
Details are scant at this point, but it seems there are plans to host a small number of cycling weeks – whether holidays or specific event preparation – from a base in the Hautes-Pyrenees, starting this season.
A statement on the Col Collective website features a list of climbs as long as you’d expect.
“Ride the classic cols, explore new roads and lesser known gems from the foothills to over 2,000m high peaks, Tourmalet, Aubisque, Soulor, Hautacam, Luz Ardiden, Aspin, Marie Blanque, Cautaret, Cirque de Gavarnie, Troumouse, Couraduque, Boucharo, Spandelles, Hourquette d'Ancizan and so much more from the door, come ride with us!”
More details are promised in coming weeks and if you’re interested, you can email them to sign up for updates.

I love the Col Collective videos, the camera work is superb and Cotty's passion for the sport really shines through.
Not sure I have the time, money or legs for a col collective holiday but would definitely be one for the bucket list.
