Mango Bikes, which ceased trading in October, will be relaunched next year after it was bought by a former employee of Chain Reaction Cycles who also worked as part of the management team at Planet X.
New owner Andrew Hassard is relocating the business, originally based in Cirencester, to Northern Ireland.
In May this year, Mango Bikes bought the clothing firm Vulpine out of administration. Subsequently, the business’s owners sold the bike brand to one of the company’s co-founders in September, but it stopped trading the following month.

Hassard introduced himself to Mango’s customers last week through a post on its Facebook page.
He wrote: “Unfortunately, Mango got into financial difficulties, and this affected some people very negatively.
“I am sorry for the trouble this caused and will do my best to help sort the situation out as we move forward.
“I’ve worked in the bike industry for about 10 years now and will be putting my heart and soul into making Mango work for you, and for me and my family.”
He added: “The business is now based in Northern Ireland and we aim to deliver the best possible bikes, service and customer smiles when we relaunch in early 2018.”
Hassard has outlined the background of his purchase of the business and his plans for the relaunch in an interview with BikeBiz.

I imagine CRC will end up being the main supplier of Mango then. They look like decent bikes, I was thinking about getting one of the disc bikes for commuting a while back.
So is Northern Ireland going to be turned into some sort of Special Enterprise Zone within brexit Britain...?
