Rapha launch Graffiti Collection, drawing on "the passion of the crowd"

Rapha have just launched their new 'Graffiti Collection', based on their Pro Team and Souplesse lines but with added loud prints inspired by cycling-themed road graffiti.

This isn't graffiti of the Banksy kind; it's simply words and phrases that cycling fans have been known to scrawl on the road before the peloton whizzes through the area; Rapha say that includes everything from "rider names, nicknames, sponsor logos, words of encouragement and finely crafted insults"... we haven't seen any of the kit in the flesh yet but from what we can see there doesn't appear to be any insults as such, but we can spot 'Alpe D'Huez' emblazoned across the front plus a few words and phrases in a whole host of random fonts.    

The collection includes Rapha's Pro Team Flyweight Jersey (£135) and Souplesse Flyweight jersey (125), long-sleeved thermal versions of each (£150), plus base layers and socks. While we're used to seeing Rapha gear that's a bit more subtle, the Graffiti collection follows on from the unusual 'Crit Clothing' range launched earlier this month, featuring an eye-catching iridescent design.
