Huez looking for investors to take them to the next level

Founded in 2014, the London-based clothing firm is looking to expand

Launched in 2014, London-based cycle clothing brand Huez has swiftly made a name for itself producing upmarket gear for commuters and racers. It is now looking for an investor to help drive further growth.

“Our goal in starting Huez was to provide highly technical clothing that looked forward to technology and modernity and didn’t focus only on the retro designs of cycling’s past,” explained founder and CEO Lorenzo Curci.

The brand has since found the attention of several of the UK and Europe’s high-end retailers, including Matches Fashion, Zalando and Harvey Nichols.

In 2017, Huez sponsored a male and female London based fixed gear team in the ever popular Redhook Series, while it boasts an ambassador list ranging from amateur road racers to the likes of F1 champion and triathlete Jenson Button and Olympic gold medal winner, Callum Skinner.

The company has retail partners as far afield as Columbia and Australia and this year completed its largest wholesale order with Zalando (Europe's second largest online retailer) for close to £40k.

Back in 2016, Huez turned to crowdfunding to successfully raise £250k in investment. Nearly 250 investors pitched in to fund the brand with the money raised allowing for 10 new menswear pieces to be developed along with a new womenswear line.

The firm has no debt on its books, and Curci says he is now looking for an investor or buyer with an established name who can provide the infrastructure and experience to push the brand to the next level.

“We have worked tirelessly to create a standout product and a luxury brand that stands for performance and style. I feel this is the perfect point in our journey to partner with an experienced hand to continue to grow the business.”

Alex has written for more cricket publications than the rest of the road.cc team combined. Despite the apparent evidence of this picture, he doesn't especially like cake.
