Well I'm in, happily! I like the look of those knogs (how do you say it? nog?)
I'm all in.. welcome to the world of mixed news media and all that..
Facebook? Nope. Not doing it - on a point of principle. (Only mentioned as feedback.)
I love the negativity about popping over to facebook, increases my odds of getting a nice handy freebie!
Listen to yourselves. Stop your moaning.
Do or don't enter.
Moaning is what made Britain so Great!
If the competition is to promote FB then fair enough, but it isn't, it's a competition to win some lights. Therefore legitimate to comment that you cannot join in as you don't do FB. If enough people don't do FB then it will be helpful to the marketing people at the likes of Knog and maybe they will spend more of their advertising budget directly to benefit the likes of Road.cc who I am sure are more deserving of the revenue stream.
I have some Knog lights and they are very good. I don't have and don't want a FB account.
I get it. No worries and I really do not feel hard done by. I cannot feel free to carry on though; because I don't have a Facebook account
It's not the best analogy, you're right and i'm no fan of Facebook. I'm just bored of things that are headed 'Do so-and-so on Facebook and have a chance to win X' followed by the usual '...but i'm not on Facebook !!' posts. The clue is in the title, wait for another contest. There's a reason why things are hosted on Facebook, and not just on websites - in this case that means people without an account can't enter that particular promotion, and the ones that do have an account and enter will help road.cc from that participation. Meh. I don't have a Twitter, Instagram or pretty much any other social media account, but I don't feel compelled to comment when a promotion appears on one of those platforms - I just don't enter. Feel free to carry on of course, I just find it dull and rather meaningless.
My grumble was that an increasing number of road.cc competitions seem to be only available to the Acolytes of Zuckerberg. I'm not on any soshul meeja, which is why I read a "real" website...
What happened to being able to send your name on a postcard!

I suddenly feel the need to pop over to bbcgoodfood.com, track down the rhubarb recipes and say "Well I don't even like rhubarb - so you can just count me out !"
Only problem being is that I like knog lights and can also access bbcgoodfood.com (if there is a place, which I am sure there is). Unfortunatey I do not care for Facebook and do not have an account, so this is the only reason why I am out. I don't see the correlation between my like for Knog and your dislike for rhubarb, interesting though that that may be.
Imagine if you did like rhubarb and the BBC had loads of great recipes, so you visit the website only to see that you need a FaceBook account to read the recipes? Then you notice that there is a general trend of the recipes only being made available to FaceBook users - would you not feel like letting the BBC know that they are excluding you?
I was with you up until "Imagine if you did like rhubarb"
Stewed with a bit of custard - lovely!
I occassionally had to agree to have some at home as the only way to get the custard (which did help somewhat - that and about 2 oz / square inch of Demerara)
+1. So that's me out!
Thirded!
Indeed, me too .
Boo! Hiss!! Bl00dy FB!!!
