British Transport Police have released CCTV images of two men they want to question after a security guard who challenged two suspected bike thieves was threatened with a belt.
The incident happened at around 10.45pm on the evening of Monday 17 June at Solihull station in the West Midlands.
However, it is only this week that British Transport Police have made the CCTV images available.
Officers say that two men entered the station and tried to steal a bike by using bolt-croppers to cut the lock.
When they were challenged by the security guard, the men were said to have become verbally abusive, with one threatening him with a belt, although he did not make contact.
They left the station after the security guard telephoned the police.
Anyone with information is requested to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference 715 of 17/06/19.
