Not my usual read however happened to glance at the Daily Telegraph today they were describing it a "Benny Hill" incident; like something from one of his comedy shows!
I doubt the victims feel the same way
The Daily Mail - we read it so you don't have to - took a similar approach today.
They also said all three cyclists were female... although our report, based on the initial local report, has it as one male, one female and one in which no details of the cyclist available.
Not sure where the three female cyclists suddenly comes from...
[[[[ If I lived in the area I'd carry something like a snooker ball, to use as a projectile...nice dent in the body-work, or, with luck, shattered rear window...
P.R.
Why don't you just go round his house and slap his arse then?
if you know this guy does this then report him to the police but dont post the details up on here!
He has been reported several times for his behaviour he has calmed down of late but that does not excuse him of his past behaviour (I have scares due to his actions)the police do shit all they have a chat with him interview him and let him go end of. He recieves no punnishment. If you escalate a complaint about the police investigation you get laughed at and it goes no further the best I can do is warn everyone I can of his behaviour if I had his phone number I would post that the data protection act 1998 protects personal information from people who have no just reason for having it this guy hates cyclists you people have every right to know who he is.
Maybe the CPS should stick a sentence of attempted murder on anyone who gets caught doing it. A life sentence would give the attackers plenty of time to consider how stupid they were
No doubt they think this is harmless fun...
Quite the reverse in MHO. The idea of unprotected exposed people mingling & mixing with large pieces of essential machinery on the move, operated by people of very basic intelligence & ability, as in this case, would be shunned as a bad idea & not allowed on the roads. It's because cycling was in it's heydey of usefulness in the first part of the last century, like riding horses in the road too, that the realisation hasn't caught on yet.
I take it upright sedate roadster riding isn't attracting the same sort of idiocy from such lunatics so it may be an attack on a cycling style in this case, whereas the other event may have been after some sort of altercation. Neither is excusable but it is essential to establish the mindset in both cases never the less. We mustn't just content ourselves with their apprehension & conviction as there maybe a much bigger underlying problem
