We're delighted to report that we've been announced as finalists in two categories for the annual BikeBiz awards, which will be held at the NEC Hilton Metropole ahead of the Cycle Show in September. An independent panel of members of the bike industry and trade will be voting for the winners; we'd like to thank everyone who's nominated us this year.
First up we're nominated in the Specialist Consumer Site category, up against Singletrack, BikeRadar, MPORA and Total Women's Cycling. It's the fifth year in a row we've been nominated for this one, and we've won the last three, so it would be fantastic to be awarded a fourth. We're also up for the Best Use of Social Media award, with Chain Reaction Cycles, Hoy Bikes, Raleigh, Singletrack and Stolen Bikes UK. The social media award was a new addition to the roster last year; we won the inaugural one in 2012 on a great night for the website. There was much rejoicing.
"We say this every year, but it never stops being true - it's a genuine honour to be shortlisted for these awards which are nominated by, and judged by, our peers in the bike industry", said road.cc editor Tony Farrelly of the news. "We've had another great year of growth, with traffic to the site up over 80% from last year, and we believe that our mix of quality news reporting and in-depth reviews, along with the great community that we've built, will keep the site growing for years to come. We're always striving to improve the site, and though many of those changes have been behind the scenes this year we've put ourselves on a firm footing to update road.cc and make it even better in the months to come."

Hope you win this year too. How do they check for EPO in social media?
Ooh, I bet that uppercase 'R' on last year's trophy annoys all at F-At/road.cc towers, eh?
Good luck, guys!
Good luck. I can see the awards ceremony now; "And the winner is...Pat McQuaid?"
I'll go dust off my kilt....
Yes good luck. I certainly enjoy visiting your site everyday. There is always something interesting to read. The reviews are very informative
Well done guys. Bon chance. But I think you guys will ace it.
Goodluck
