This Hase Pino doesn't just have a crate where the stoker sits, they're also trying to show off their new cargo rack that's under the stoker's seat. As well as being able to carry more beer, Hase also now sell a custom bag that fits on the new rack and fills the entire area - it's WAY bigger than any pair of panniers.
Thanks JonD, I have corrected the copy now.
I'll never buy a bike/trike from any manufacturer who thinks mounting brake levers like that is acceptable.
I love the Hase bike!
But the real question: is 'beer carrier' the new 'gravel bike'?
The bottom one is a standard Hase Pino but with an optional crate where the stoker usually goes. So good stuff but only an incremental development rather than something fabulously new.
As for what I'd like to see on 'bents, touring bikes (as opposed to trikes), 'cause that's what I ride.
This was the page I was waiting for, cheers.
Not much has changed in the recumbent world then
Err..almost - the manufacturer's Hpvelotechnik, and the model's a Scorpion, but unless you know what you're looking at it's probably not obvious from the decals on the frame.
Mebbe 'cargo bike' is close enough ? - it's the usual term, at least.
Good to see some 'bent coverage on here, BTW
