At road.cc every product is thoroughly tested for as long as it takes to get a proper insight into how well it works. Our reviewers are experienced cyclists that we trust to be objective. While we strive to ensure that opinions expressed are backed up by facts, reviews are by their nature an informed opinion, not a definitive verdict. We don't intentionally try to break anything (except locks) but we do try to look for weak points in any design. The overall score is not just an average of the other scores: it reflects both a product's function and value – with value determined by how a product compares with items of similar spec, quality, and price.

Morvelo have designed a stunning looking cycling top with their women's Daze jersey.

Cycling jerseys grab you by the eye in the first instance and Morvelo don't disappoint. You can be spotted a mile off in the Daze. Performance has to match the looks, and it doesn't fail here either.

This jersey is a large (a 14) and is very true to size (it is available in small, medium and large). It isn't skin hugging or baggy, it seems to sit nicely against the skin giving a free and easy range of movement. Mix this with the smooth fabric that the jersey is made of, and you end up with a really comfortable top.

The three rear pockets are deep and more than big enough to stuff a rain jacket and spare water bottle in. It also has the added benefit of a smaller pocket with a zip for keeping money in or a small phone.

I found the gripper on the sleeves and the bottom seam held the jersey in place. I've never had problems with sleeves riding up, so this seemed unusual. However it did keep the sleeves in place during longer rides. The good thing about this little feature is that it fits so snuggly around the arms that no stray drafts get up there.

Made with micro-fibre fabric and being antibacterial make it ideal for longer rides. I did good four-hour stretches in it and while I wouldn't say I was smelling glorious, I wouldn't empty a room either. The full zip on the jersey allows you to choose your level of ventilation and it's perfect for autumn with a good base layer underneath.

At £60 you could say its a little expensive, and there are cheaper options out there. But the design of black with bold spots coupled with the performance aspects make this jersey a good investment. Simple touches on the jersey like the heat sealed print that Morvelo have in place of a label and reflective detailing on the rear show the design has been well thought out.

Love the spotty design. It's really nice to see something a little bit different with some personality.

"The good thing about this little feature is that it fits so snuggly around the arms that no stray drafts get up there." The sleeves don't look too snug - in fact they look baggy in the picture posted.

A full length zip is a good feature - it's something I always prefer on tops, especially if you wear bib-shorts; it makes those toilet trips a little bit easier!!
