dhb has made great inroads into the crowded cycle clothing market since launching nearly ten years ago, and continues to build on this success with the launch of a new spring/summer range that features upgraded Aeron clothing, its flagship performance range, plus there are new colours and designs in the popular Blok and Classic ranges.
dhb combines great value for money with solid design and a growing confidence in style. We’ve been consistently impressed with the dhb clothing we’ve tested over the years and its push into the performance sphere with its Aeron range.
The clothing company describes the Aeron range as suitable for “committed riders who need the perfect kit that performs in all conditions” and for 2017 the upgraded range includes a new Speed Short Sleeve Jersey and Bib Shorts available for men and women.
The dhb Aeron New Speed Short Sleeve Jersey (£55) has been refined for 2017 and offers a close-fitting aero design ideal for racers or high-performance cyclists wanting to ride as fast as possible, and they certainly don’t want a baggy jersey slowing them down.
On-trend long aero sleeves with wide gripper tape, a full-length YKK zipper and three large pockets and routing for a radio or headphones, 3M reflective detailing all add to the comprehensive details. It’s made from a Hydrofit material to prevent the jersey getting soggy when you’re on the gas, and an antibacterial treatment stops it ponging.
Pair with the new Aeron Speed Bib Shorts (£80) which dhb says is its most technical bib shorts ever made. They’re made from a Revolutional Energy fabric with cold black treatment to reduce heat when riding in hot weather, and inside is a Cytech Comp HP padded insert that it claims is good for six hours or more in the saddle.
If bright and bold colours are what you look for in a cycling jersey, look no further than dhb’s Blok range. Added to its lineup a few years ago the Blok range has impressed with cool designs that really manage to stand out in a crowded and mature marketplace.
The dhb Blok Short Sleeve Jersey costs £45, the matching bib shorts are £50, there’s a gilet for £40 and you can finish the outfit with arm warmers, socks and neck tube. The jersey is made from a high-wicking fabric with UV30 sun protection treatment, while the bib shorts use a Cytech Elastic Interface Giro Air padded insert for low bulk seated comfort.
If Blok is too bold for your tastes the Classic range might suit, with a more understated design approach. The Classic jerseys cost from £45 and the bib shorts are the same price. If you want a jersey for cooler spring rides the Classic Long Sleeve Micro Roubaix Jersey (£50) is made from a micro-fleece fabric that will provide a bit more warmth than the lightweight polyester fabric used in the regular Classic Short Sleeve jersey.
There’s also the Classic Rain Shell Jacket (£60) for those unexpected showers. It uses a 10,000m waterproof fabric with a high (30,000m2/24hrs) breathability rating, with fully taped seams to ensure no rain can get it.

There aren't any new Aeron speed shorts on the Wiggle website, just last years ones that have been consistently complained about. I checked as I was thinking about buying a set.
When are they coming Wiggle?
so last year's ones were crap - and you're eager to see if the new ones are just as crap?
Done a good job on the designs and colours there.
That's some seriously good-looking kit for the money!
