Five cool things coming soon from Cannondale, Time, Samvær, Ritchey and Topeak

Yet more new bikes, gear and accessories we're putting to the test at the moment...

As the rain lashed down last week and over the weekend we were longing for the sunnier weather we'd oddly become accustomed to... and it indeed looks like it'll be making a return this week, meaning we'll be banking some extra miles on our test rides!

Topeak Turbo Morph Digital

£59.99

topeakturbomorphdigital

This pump from Topeak is apparently award-winning (we're not sure which award) and has a flip-down digital gauge, a fold-out foot peg and a sturfy aluminium barrel to ensure stability for stress-free pump action. It can take Presta, Schrader and Dunlop valves, and weighs just 320g so is easy to cart around. Does Dave Arthur now have an inflated opinion of it after a month's use? Find out in the review later this month.

Cannondale Synapse Disc Sora

£849.99

The Synapse is Cannondale's fast, all-day endurance machine, and while the top spec carbon version is a cool £7,799, this alloy version with a carbon fork takes some of the best features and rolls them into a really affordable package. It is on the weighty side at 11kg, but you're getting Shimano Sora shifting and the frame has a geometry that's tried and tested on long rides. Did it make Stu Kerton ride stronger for longer? The review's coming soon.

Time Xpro 10 road pedals

£144.99

timexpro10pedals

Time have overhauled their lineup of road pedals, with these, believe it or not, being the least expensive in the Xpro range (the Xpro 15's have an astronomical RRP of £399.99). There's a full carbon body on the Xpro 10's, with a larger pedalling surface than the previous Time Xpresso pedals. Time's Iclic system has been redesigned to allow for a more positive cleat engagement and to be more comfortable, while the adjustable carbon blade has 3 positions of tension. They also have a low stack height to keep your sole as close to the centre of the axle as possible to improve pedalling efficiency.

Ritchey WCS Carbon Link Flexlogic Seatpost

£187.00

Ritchey WCS Carbon Link Flexlogic Carbon Seatpost

Can a humble seatpost markedly improve your comfort on the bike? Ritchey think so, and their WCS carbon link seatpost with a two-bolt design has been developed to be 15% more vertically compliant than more standard carbon seatposts with no loss of lateral or torsional stiffness. It also has 15mm of offset and a reversible clamp to allow for an extra 10mm of fore/aft adjustment, and works with all standard saddle rail designs. Find out if Dave Arthur posts a positive review of it in the coming weeks...

Samvær City Camino Backpack

£109.00

Samvær make casual wear and accessories for cyclists, and this bright urban backpack is essentially a roll top design with a few handy additional features to make it more versatile. It's made with hard-wearing British Millerain Waxed Cotton for maximum water resistance, has back padding to make it more comfortable and the roll top allows you to stuff the bag to bursting so you can fit all your work wear and a big old packed lunch inside with room to spare. George Hill is trying it out at the moment, with his verdict due shortly...

He worked across all areas of the website including tech, news and video, and also contributed to eBikeTips before being named Editor of road.cc in 2021 (much to his surprise). Jack has been hooked on cycling since his student days, and currently has a Trek 1.2 for winter riding, a beloved Bickerton folding bike for getting around town and an extra beloved custom Ridley Helium SLX for fantasising about going fast in his stable. Jack has never won a bike race, but does have a master's degree in print journalism and two Guinness World Records for pogo sticking (it's a long story).

Unsurprisingly, there are no details for a bike that hasn't been launched yet

Hasn't been launched yet? Are these (German) suppliers jumping the gun, which is unlikely, or maybe different markets have different launch dates.

AFAIK in Japan specs & even RRP are already published.
