Family Bicycle Cruise to Street Velodrome, Worthing
As you are all no doubt aware, the Street Velodrome is coming to Worthing in August. Following the huge success of the Kids Easter Bike Ride along the prom, we are arranging another and aiming to get even more riders out together!
The plan is to meet at the Wind Shelter at the bottom of George Fifth Ave (there is free parking) at around 9am on the Saturday morning. We will then ride all together along the Prom to the official opening of the event at 10am on Beach House Gardens.
I have chosen Saturday for the kids ride as they will be able to try the Velodrome on that day, plus there are two HGVs (one from Sussex Transport and one from T J Waste) on site demonstrating how cyclists and large vehicles can safely share the road. I did this with my truck at the Get Cycling event last year and it was a huge success for Children and Parents alike!
Note - this is just the cruise to the event, for full details of the day head to Worthing Street Velodrome on Facebook or go direct to the Council website at http://www.adur-worthing.gov.uk/street-velodrome/
This is going to be a cracking weekend of cycling, there will be TV crews, professional racing, side stands and displays, and on Saturday - LOADS OF KIDS!!!
Could be worse - could be at the bottom of one...
I'm unclear about how not wearing a helmet relates to measuring their speed?
Exactly how frequently is one required to check one's bike rack for stow-aways? Admittedly I don't have a motor home, and it's been a long time...
What are you, some kind of authoritarian* Communist?...
Where did you but your crystal ball, again?
I'm lucky in that I've previously downloaded regions so can carry on syncing for free. If they stopped this I think I'd be prepared to pay say £10...
I'd say just 4 reverting is a good result; they haven't just been steamrollered by public pressure. Of those, I know 3 well and agree that 30 is...
Another day, another BristolPost piece about Park St: https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/bristol-news/park-street-bus-gate-latest-10008820
It's actually not the first time - have a read of Geoff Thomas's autobiography.
I have these on a steel Galaxy, they make a great big ding rather than a click. I love changing gear with them.
