For the seventh consecutive year The Rotary Club of Lancaster is organising three fund raising sportive cycling events. Reserve the date, Sunday April 24th 2016.
Wrynose or Bust is our longest and toughest route. A true sportive challenge of 117 miles (188km) through North Lancashire and South Cumbria with the Duddon valley and daunting Wrynose Pass in the middle. Wrynose Pass is considered to be one of the top 10 toughest cycling climbs in Britain.
The Bay Dash is a shorter 72 mile sportive (115km) following much of the Wrynose route, but it detours after 35 miles to climb the long drag up Bigland Hill. This route is still a very serious test for most cyclists.
The Silverdale Sling is our third route and is a very interesting and pretty 37 mile route following the Morecambe Bay coastline through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is still a significant sportive challenge.
