Cycle Derby and HUUB Events have once again teamed up to deliver the Cycle Derby Spring Classic sportive which takes riders through the countryside of South Derbyshire and Staffordshire.
All rides will head out towards Kedleston Hall and Sutton on the Hill before splitting off to cover three different distances. Riders on the 160km route will ride out towards Blithfield Reservoir, climbing over the famous Cannock Chase before turning back towards Derbyshire.
The 80km route takes riders out towards Tatenhill Airfield before turning back to join the 160km route at Stapenhill. Both rides then meander back to Markeaton Park through Repton and along Radbourne Lane.
The 40km route should be a popular family ride through undulating countryside towards Longford and Sutton on the Hill before returning back along Radbourne Lane.
Prices stay the same as 2015/2016 with 40km=£25 and the 80km/160km = £35, with four feed stations, goody bags, hot soup and drinks and a warm welcoming atmosphere when you ride across that finish line.
Following on from the success in 2016, we also have children’s and inclusive rides in Markeaton Park during the day.
NEW FOR 2017 WE HAVE A KOM/QOM CHALLENGE FOR RIDERS ON THE 80KM/160KM ROUTES.
