Broadlees Farm, Deal Road, Dover, CT15 5DL
Epic: 83miles
Standard: 60miles
The inaugural Le Classique was a huge success in 2016 and rolls on into 2017, providing riders with another chance to enjoy a day trip to France and a great day out on the bike. Starting at Dover ferry port, we will arrange your ferry and parking and, once we've got you aboard, we’ll add a little joie de vivre with fresh coffee and croissants to get you into the French spirit.
The course has everything you could want from a French cycling experience, from Camembert to cobbles! Run on predominantly fast, flat roads with few testing climbs expect high average speeds. Stunning waterways, villages and windmills feature along the way as you weave your way southeast from Calais. The first of two feed stations come after 27 miles in the village of Millam, after which the Standard riders will start to loop back to Calais, while the Epic riders head off to the route’s pièce de résistance… a 1.5-mile cobbled switchback climb to the historic town of Cassel — a little taste of one of the one-day Classics, your very own Paris-Roubaix.
