The Yorkshire Dales are your rolling hills, your picturesque landscapes and your quaint cafe stops. The Yorkshire Moors are steeper, bleaker, more exposed and fearfully isolated.
Struggle The Moors sportive takes you over notorious Yorkshire Moors climbs such as the vertical walls that are Boltby Bank and Carlton Bank, the exposed Cote de Grosmont (as seen in the Tour de Yorkshire 2016), the aptly name Glaisdale Horror and finally the infamous Rosedale Chimney Bank with 90 miles in your legs.
To rub salt into the wounds, between your categorised climbs you’ll find relentlessly undulating roads and some uncategorised stings in the tail.
Taking place on Sunday 9th July 2017 from Ampleforth, Struggle The Moors takes in 10,299ft over 110 miles. There will be limited places available. Don’t delay, pre-register now.
