Ride 100k on the Ridgeway in a day!
The Ridgeway is Europe’s oldest continually used highway. Dating back thousands of years, this was a prehistorically important route, with many ancient landmarks along it’s length, and ending at the magnificent stone circles of Avebury (which predates Stonehenge by some 700 years!)
Today, the Ridgeway remains a popular recreational route, and a fantastic long distance MTB trail! Faster paced and less extreme than the South Downs Way, the Ridgeway never the less gives you plenty to get your teeth into. The route keeps you high up and offers continuous sweeping views, with just enough dips and diversions along the ridge to keep your climbing / descending muscles ticking over! The surface only occasionally gets semi-technical, leaving you with over 100km of very rideable trail to enjoy! It’s a ride that invites you to open up your engines, and test how long you can keep them running!
And we make sure that all you have to think about is riding. The Trail Break Team have over 20 years experience running long distance MTB challenges, and detailed knowledge of the Ridgeway itself. The Ridgeway 100 Return to the Stones is fully supported, from route marking to feed and support stops, so all you have to do is concentrate on taking on this epic ride!
Thank you for a very informative article, but I'm afraid everything I read about tubeless makes it sound like an awful lot of arseache just to...
It's not available on the NHS but it can legally be prescribed by private doctors.
Looks more like e-bikes than real Surrons (motorbikes) on the CCTV footage, but pictures are really blurry...
Was thinking about getting a Rohloff one, but then I got a Rohloff which made it a bit pointless. And, of course I only found about it when I was...
I love how you talk about quality Hex wrenches and then show a picture of some Draper ones! Wera or Bondhus far better.
If one's knuckles are several inches below one's ankles...?
Longwater junction is just nasty at the best of times. Road markings have vanished and it's a total free for all no mater what direction you are...
I can do the basics, but largely I prefer to take my bike to the LBS when it needs a service, when they check all the big things and sort them out...
Agree about the blue badge / double yellows ... as you say it's moot in practice....
Interesting, thanks Rendel
