EVENT POSTPONED: UPDATED 17/03/2020
It is with great sadness that we have today made the difficult but responsible decision to postpone this event, due to the ongoing situation regarding the Coronavirus.
We have been monitoring all government recommendations and therefore based on the latest information and in the interest of staff and rider safety and putting the greater needs of the wider community at the forefront, it’s the most responsible thing to do. We ask for your patience while we evaluate the next steps in this ever-changing situation. We will aim to be in touch with you again via email within the next 72 hours regarding the ride credit, transfer or refund options available.
From start to finish, the beautiful quite lanes are constantly up and down like a restless child, the small climbs robbing you of momentum, then the following descents gifting it back. Many of the inclines are so slight you’ll not notice them until the legs send back a message to click down a gear or two, their increase in gradient invisible to the naked eye.
Visiting the three counties of Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex the routes navigate around the towns of Haverhill, Saffron Walden and Sudbury thus avoiding areas of congestion allowing you to enjoy the free-flowing traffic free roads. From one idyllic village to the next between the high hedgerows and farmland your cares will simply drift away as you cruise around this sleepy part of England.
Lacking savage climbs but continuously undulating the Suffolk Spring Classic is perfect to wake the legs up from their winter hibernation or to begin your Sportive journey.
