The Christie Manchester to Blackpool ride is a very popular event - 60 miles from Salford Quays to a great finish with music, food and beer tent on the South Promenade in Blackpool. Lots of refreshment stops along the scenic country lanes of Lancashire, with marshals, cycle mechanics, medical and pick up vehicles looking after you. The Christie charity team will welcome you over the finish line with a well deserved MEDAL, then join your friends and families with music and refreshments.
The event is registered with British Cycling and will follow Covid-safety advice from the Government, British Cycling and local statutory bodies.

Hyponatremia is a real risk even for an amateur cyclist or runner in hot weather. I've bonked from it before, and I was drinking Gatorade the whole...
in the UK we have policing which to a greater or lesser extent relies on assistance from members of the public......
Just wanted to share a quick thank you to everyone who helped out in this thread....
So...don't cycle on it. Lots of other routes around that area. Source: I used to work there.
My photochromic specs have just turned up in the post today
