Cateye Computers

Hi,

I was just wondering how interchangeable Cateye Strada computers were.

I own a Cateye Strada Cadence computer already, this is wired and works great on my commuting bike. For my road bike however I dont really want to use a wired system and preferably I would be able to use just one computer on both bikes.

I was thinking maybe a second bike kit for a Strada Double might work with my computer but I didn't manage to find anything online saying one way or another.

Any information would be great 1 or if you just want to tell me I'm mad for wanting to use just one computer feel free.

Thanks, Oliver

The computer you have won't have any of the wireless data pick-up, so will not be able to receive the data from the wireless sensor.

The 2nd bike kit for the double wireless (cd300dw parts kit) is about £56 online, so you could pick up the entire computer for not much less, Wiggle has the double wireless for £62. So to have wireless you would need to have it on both bikes and the cost is around £118.

The best option is probably to get the 2nd bike kit for the computer you already have. Zyro do this for £21, and includes the 2 wired sensors and mounting bracket etc - here's a link to it.
