The Ragley Rodwell frame + fork comes with a nice headset top cap with integrated barrel adjuster too.
I think this FSA Orbit CX headset is possibly the best solution I have found:
On the FSA website the barrel adjuster is only shown on the integrated and internal Orbit CX headsets, not the external model.
Thanks, I like the look of the flexible V-brake noodle.
And yes, the inline cable adjusters do work well. I already have them on a bike with mini-Vs, but I am planning to minimise the number of junctions in the cable.
the easiest things to get would be some in-line cable-adjusters, you can fit them anywhere you chose on a brake outer, probably the most useful thing i've ever fitted to a 'cross bike, it says they're for gear-cable use but they work just fine with brakes
Plenty of options for adjusters if you know where to look.
Prob the best option ive tried (on my cross bike) is a flexible v-brake noodle with adjuster from Charlie the bikemonger.. http://www.charliethebikemonger.com/userimages/procart18.htm
i run canti's so just use it to replace a section of outer leading to the rear stop. You can see it here... http://www.flickr.com/photos/dickyelsdon/3337790803/in/set-7215761995673...
Works a treat.
I have also tried shifter ones, but they tend to be plastic and risky for use with a brake...

Yes, I'm pretty confident that when I do the build I'll be able to do something neat. I have plenty of local bike shops, one of which is bound to have something appropriate in a drawer of bits.
the five t just uses a standard barrel adjuster, the same as you'd find on the down tube of a road bike. you need a hanger that's threaded for it to work, and most aren't, but you could probably bodge it![1](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/1.gif)
