Try the Gorge de la Nesque from Villes-Sur-Auzon, it's stunningly beautiful

I cycled up from Sault on Wednesday 6th April in glorious sunshine and very little wind. No problems from Bedoin or Sault although the road past Chalet Reynard is closed to cars (cyclists and walkers can just nip under the barrier).
However, once we were on the summit, we went round the corner to look at the road up the Malausene side - that was completedly covered in heavy snow and would not have been passable.
thanks Matthew
Just had this confirmed by one of the cycle hotels. Evidently the northern climb will not be oepn till at least May 15th.
I guess I'll have to find something else to do
Heavy snow forecast across French mountains this week, so may be tricky just now
